Garlic flowers

We found these growing in Stroud's Bank Gardens. The third day of the Stroud food festival was in swing, and appeared to be going well. We'd been to the vegan fair earlier, and then tried the gardens, which included live music, a bar, childrens' entertainment, some indoor talks, and another alley full of vegan food stalls.

I'd have liked to see some outdoor cookery demos and more samples (the vegan chocolate from Lincolnshire was delicious) but maybe we went on the wrong day?

Afterwards we sat outside a cafe in Nelson Street and had a drink, overlooking the top end of town, which was quiet as today's action was located further downtown.

Apart from that, I've been resting, mostly, and finishing yet another book. It's funny how exhausting holidays can be!
