Poppies

Love these papery poppies which go on flowering all summer. No doubt I’ve blipped them before!

Off for a haircut this morning, then a bit of clothes shopping in Farnham with a friend (I desperately need some summery work gear), and then lunch outside in the sunshine.

Then back home to get some weeding done in the garden (my goodness, how quickly the soil dries out and gets hard!). The weeds have gone a bit mad so it was good to get a bit of control back. Plus the forget-me-nots are coming to an end so they all need pulling up - the borders look a bit dull for a while once they’re gone so I’ve not got rid of them all today. I also planted out the courgette, replaced one of the green bean plants that wasn’t doing well (I kept a spare in a pot just in case), and the other three lettuces now that there’s room where a couple of forget-me-nots were.
