The fair leaving town.
What a wonderful bank holiday weekend. The sun shone for the whole three days and Saltaire, Roberts Park and the fair were busy with people enjoying themselves after the long hard winter months.
I spent all day in the garden yesterday and got huge amounts of work done. The ground is so dry that the rain today has come as a welcome relief and will help bed the plants I planted in nicely. Off to a new garden shop today so I expect I will come home with a little something.
I took Lottie for her walk this morning in the rain and we went up to Shipley Glen via the tramway path. The fair had packed up over night and I suspect had seen the forecast because all the heavy trucks had been moved and were parked in the car park on the hard standing and only a few rides and lighter vehicles had been left on the field. What a strange life that must be throughout the summer months - moving from one place to another. When I was a teenager I thought it very sad when the fair moved on. One less place place to meet up with my friends and eye up the local talent!!!!!
