My neighbour has just got an allotment

After five years on the waiting list. I went with him to look at it, and maybe help with a few ideas how to get started. It’s a lovely site, on a slope which has a fabulous view across the south of the city, but the gradient also makes growing a bit of a challenge. He’ll need to do a lot of clearing as the whole plot is covered in grass about 3 feet high, and some ‘weeds’ the most interesting of which are above - salsify, and honeywort.
