Hiking day at the lake

Met up with 17 other women for a 3 mile hike on a cool but humid morning. A few of the hikers were first timers but we adjusted our pace so they did not feel left out.

One of the ladies was carrying a fully loaded backpack as she is training for a week long hike in June. I really hope she does well on the hike. We were under some major clouds but it never rained.

The orange flower is a Scarlett sesbane which is growing several places along the lake shore. No other flowers were seen.

I loved the bright mushroom that looked like it had a bite taken out of it by some critter.
