The Ball Collector....

....and he certainly was, Greg, a collector of wayward golf balls from the golf course, from those amateur golfers who thought they were so good, but instead of mishitting 1 in 5, they actually mishit 4 in 5!

Proof of such wayward shooting could be found, if one was interested, in the mount of bark missing from the tree trunks surrounding the golf course, which had been so bad the Golf Course organisers had had to glue the bark on, as their paying clients refused to acknowledge that they were just poor shots.

This made Greg smile,, although he was doing a job his wife had said 'You don't listen at home, if you don't listen there, you'll soon know about it!'

As per usual, she was right, on hearing a golfer say to another golfer that morning, that 'I've only mishit 1 in 5 shots!'

They had in fact mishit 4 in 5, but hey! Who was counting!

Now Greg had not only a bruised ego and pride to think about thanks to that - amongst other things,, as because he had been chuckling at that, 3 balls had hit him, 'Ouch' was the least of it!!

Concentrate now he would :-)
