Passionate Sky

Colorful sunsets haven't happened much lately. We get days of them from November through January, but not so much in springtime. If I were a geographer, I would know why. I'm not.

I could see this sky through the sheer drapes in the front room. I had been in the backyard and hadn't seen anything like this, so I hurried to the front door and there it was.

I thought I was going to blip some of the graduation scenes shown on the evening news, but the sky won the vote. I love graduations. I love ceremonies, I love victories, but I also love sunsets. I'm basically a goon.

I've graded student papers this entire holiday weekend and I'm still not done, but I will be soon. Graduation is 11 days away. So I am about to arrive at "Finished." I can't wait.
