That's what time this photo was taken.
Other than being gripped by a ferocious summer cold which leads me to unreasonable amounts of sleeping... it's been an exciting week. Two dear friends have had babies. Jamie who is carrying hers, had to produce nothing less than an emotional breakdown to get her exit Visa, and I continue to war with life here. The mix of new life puts things in perspective for me. I am so thankful.
Maggie, who was only at 25 weeks, delivered Carter, who was one pound seven ounces. Wow. She's healthy thought, and she is making it. She ls like her momma, a fighter. I am so proud of my friends. They make me so proud to know them. Parenting is the ultimate selflessness, if so chosen. Jamie doesn't even have her baby and in a moment, every thought goes first to what's best for "Lucy." And sweet Maggie, in one day her whole world has changed, and without thought or pause she has joyfully adapted all of life to care for the tiny little wonder that bounced a bit early into their lives. The love moves me... and sets things in my little world right.
The endless sunlight however, still jacks with my internal clock. Poor Alaskans.
