Roses are red, violets are blue

The graft of colour charts pays off when you can see the colours revealing their bias - the orange-red (cadmium) and green-blue (cerulean) provide a dull, grey violet, obviously the best mix is from red and blue with a violet bias (Alizarin Crimzon & Ultramarine.)

I remember practicing piano scales 'till my fingers were numb - I guess colour charts are all part of a painter's learning curve. Can't wait to get onto brown!
