Lasting Friendships

This is a photo of a book written by my longest-time friend. We have known one another since the age of 4, and rather than calling ourselves "old" friends (which we sort of are) we opted to use the term, longest-time friends. I must say I prefer that! We live about 1400 kilometers apart, and do not see each other very often. I am thankful for the written electronic communication to keep in touch. I continue to be amazed at how we are able to start visiting so easily, even after long periods of time where we do not see one another.

Tomorrow is especially exciting, as I will be seeing her for a short visit. She is on a book tour that includes reading at a venue in Calgary, Alberta - a little closer than 1400 km. to where I live - http://www.turnstonepress.com/

Dora is an amazingly talented author. I believe her writing is even more magnetic because of our friendship. And, what better way to spend an afternoon than sitting down with a cup of coffee and a good book!
