Ol' Blue Eyes
I was picking blackberries for breakfast and found this damsel clinging to a leaf. It's rare for me to see one at rest; I think they respond to temperature, or maybe the direct hit of the sun, because when I do find their hiding places it is always early morning, and usually damp. It stayed put long enough for me to run and get the camera, and endured having a big black eye pointing and clicking. And after many years of poor yield, I almost got enough blackberries for a pie!
This is a good one to enlarge.
