Inefficiency
Leaving Phuket this morning and back to Singapore for one more day.
Phuket was a fun and interesting experience. Everone you walk past is trying to sell you something--usually food, a massage, a taxi/tuktuk/moped ride, or a tailored suit. Most of these people seem desperate and can be aggressive. It often feels rude blowing them off or trying to ignore them all the time, but short of buying something from everyone you pass, what can you do?
Another thing I noticed everywhere was the overpopulated telephone poles. I'm guessing they didn't do much planning and just string up a single new wire whenever they need it, but I just couldn't wrap my head around the amount of wires on some of those poles.
Very happy to have visited Thailand.
