The Falls

Today’s jaunt took us just up the road to visit Aira Force Falls. 
For 300 years visitors have been drawn here, where rainwater runs from the fells into Aira Beck and thunders in one 65-foot leap over the falls.
Going was a bit tough on some parts but the National Trust has done a grand job building steps so anyone can enjoy the sights (even me).

Once back at Phoebe we treated ourselves to a fish and chip tea from the van that visits the site on Fridays.

We should have been packing up tonight for our departure tomorrow but we have decided to stay for a couple more nights.
