With an energy to rival that of a twenty year old, I ripped through the garden today. Well, maybe more like a thirty year old. Or maybe a forty forty-five year old. It looks fab, half of it, the front still needs loads of pulling and trimming but I will do that tomorrow when everyone is back to work. On a holiday such as today, everyone is out in their yard and it turns into a gab fest with no work getting done. Uh oh, I'm turning into a curmudgeon...with a large straw hat and crocs with socks.

Memorial Day-it's such a sad holiday, but for me it meant gardening, for some families it meant picnicking and boating, for some it meant a designated day to remember their dead soldier. Thankfully Hallmark hasn't turned it into a card holiday yet because that would just be ri....what? They have? Give me strength.
