A bit late for the party!!

We had quite a busy time today preparing for Lennon's 16th birthday. Cakes were made, Red Velvet with cream and strawberries (in the blip picture), Chocolate fudge cake and Blueberry muffins. Sandwiches of ham, cheese and egg mayo, sausage rolls and cocktail sausages plus other party type stuff. We are planning on having a BBQ on Sunday so that Ruby and Eric can celebrate too.
Problem is that after we carried the cake in, with 16 candles, and singing Happy Birthday To You, I had to go to get F.M.i.L. from her day care. Usually takes about 20-25 minutes. Set off at 16:10, got back at 17:10 for many reasons not worth going into. 
So, the cake you see in the photo is pretty much what was left apart from plentiful sandwiches, which won't go to waste as they should freeze. The remainder of the cake will probably disappear on Sunday.
A plate had been made up for Betty so she didn't miss out.
