New recipe

It has been a cool and dull day with drizzle in the air. I took the opportunity, therefore, to spend some time in the kitchen, much to Mrs TT’s dismay! I made chicken soup and tried a new cake recipe. It is one of Mary Berry’s, a lemon semolina cake. I misread the recipe and lost some of the air that should have been in the mixture when beating the egg whites, but I am sure the cake will taste fine.

Good news arrived by registered post, a judgement from the court saying that I can go and collect the veranda roof that has been impounded for several months. I phoned the company that has agreed to complete the project and have a meeting with their representative next Thursday.
