Thoubal River

The traditional boat race (locally known as Hiyang tannaba) of the Manipuries held once in a year is associated with many rituals and ceremonies. This one's a part of the Wangbrel Ireima Haoraba (Festival of the Goddess) at Khekman, Thoubal District, Manipur - showing strong competition in two laps - in this particular spot at Thoubal River. Interestingly, there's also a competition of two teams comprising of females (unmarried ones).
