Look up to heaven

Decided to go to Canterbury today, got stuck in a traffic jam on the way there, and on the way back, but it was definitely worth it.

First port of call, the cathedral. There's so much to photograph there it was hard to know what to blip! So I chose this, the fan vaulted ceiling above The Crossing. It's the ceiling to the Bell Harry Tower, which according to the cathedral's website is 235 feet tall and 500 years old.

One of the special things about any cathedral is being able to wander round while the chour are practising. Today at Canterbury was no exception, and it was beautiful, truly uplifting.
