Towerhouse

This is our home for the next few days!

There are, predictably, a lot of stairs.  For the secoond part of our holiday we've travelled to Zaltbommel, still in the Netherlands, and chosen pretty much entirely because of this Airbnb.

The details imply it's a bit in the middle of nowhere but in fact it's just on the edge of a fascinating little town, of which more to come.

Meanwhile we're getting fit.  83 stairs I gather, but I've not actually counted.  Inside of the top bedroom in the extra.  Thankfully the bedroom has a kitchenette, given that the main kitchen is on the ground floor...

The owners originally bought it as their private home, until faced with a third winter of carrying firewood, the primary heating, up 83 steps...
