On top of the world

I decided that, as the weather was wonderfully clear early this morning, I would head straight for the cable car, Merano 2000.

Stunning experience. Amazing engineering and spectacular views.

None of my photos have really captured the breathtaking nature of the heights but if you look at the one I’ve blipped, you will see someone who is doing something I would previously have thought impossible.

Rain was forecast, and sleet, but they were wrong in thinking it would be before lunchtime. Safely returned to the city, I had another gentle stroll along the beautiful walkways, Gilf promenade is one of them. Again, lots of seats, plenty of chance to sit, admire, and take yet another photo…
