Museo del novecento - a poem

Our last day in Milan - we first visited the Museo del novecento. A course I often teach covers Italian futurism so it was a treat to see a lot of these works for real for the first time. This is Carlo Carra's Manifestazione interventista (freeword poem) - I am partial to the futurist collages and especially the poems, like this one. In the extras are a view from the museum of the duomo and a window in the very impressive duomo. Our flight back was a little delayed but we are settled back in Paris now. This was a great birthday trip and we left wishing we could spend more time in Italy - we'll be working on our Italian now!
