Ikigai

We have a wonderful independent refill shop in St Ives, specialising mostly in dry foods (cereals, flours, sugars, fruits and nuts, herbs, teas, etc) but also a useful line in eco friendly household cleaning products. The latest addition is a peanut butter making machine, I can’t wait to try it out. It’s run by Martin (at the till) and his wife whose name I’ve forgotten… Most of the stock works out cheaper, and much better quality, than Waitrose, the only supermarket in the town centre.

I love the meaning behind the shop’s name, it’s a pretty good motto for life.
