A public defence of a doctoral thesis

I was attending a special public defence of a doctoral thesis.  The opponent was in USA (here seen on the top) and  the doctoral candidate, custos and the public in Helsinki. This photo is taken at the end of the defence. Only for a minute the scenery was multiplied as can be seen here.
