Standing stones

The largest stone circle in the world, or so the info sheet said. It was very big and the village was inside the circle. A visit to Avebury today and it was brilliant, warm and sunny. The gardens and Manor House lovely and walking around the standing stones was delightful. We also walked from the village to Silbury Hill, except Mont allowed up it and really it just looks like a dome of grass, but walk. On the way back got a good sighting of deer just across the stream.
