Crimping

Another glorious day.

Train to St Ives, where we went to see an exhibition of paintings, in the historic Crypt Gallery.
We first came across John Dyer and his wife Joanne Short when we stayed in Rasteau, Provence 26 years ago. They had painted a mural on a wall inside the house where we stayed.
We love their vibrant bright paintings of the Villages we know well in both Provence and Cornwall.
Had a great chat reminiscing about France. Very pleased our holiday in Cornwall coincided with their exhibition as it is only on for a week.

Then pasties from Pengenna Bakery, where we watched the baker crimping the pasties. Very good they were too.

Passed the sculpture entitled ‘ Dual Form’ which Dame Barbara Hepworth presented to St Ives Corporation in 1968.

Then sat watching the world go by, overlooking Porthminster beach, before catching the train back to St Erth.

We had a most enjoyable evening yesterday. So much catching up to do. Will have to meet again when we get home.

Sorry I am getting a bit behind with comments, but thank you all for your kind comments etc.
