Our nearest Green-winged Orchid

Mostly a recovery and catch-up day, but with a quick trip to Southorpe Meadow NR to check for Bertha's Dandelion. There were very few dandelions at all, and certainly none of my target species, but it was good to see that the local Green-winged Orchid colony is still hanging on, though with precariously low numbers. Rather worryingly some of the grassland appeared to be rather coarser than previously, with abundant Hogweed emerging - I may have to contact the Wildlife Trust about its management...
