a day on the beach!

finally the sun shone on a non work day and we headed down to PhilippaJ's beach hut for the day.

this is the view from the hut of four children and a dinghy. very enid blytonesque. this was the girls 'looking after' the wee boy, making sure he wore the one life vest in our possession! he lasted 2 minutes till he got splashed by a bit of cold water and declared he'd had enough dinghying for one day! the girls persevered and had a marvellous time...

lunch on the beach, football (not me obv), kite flying, pine cone gathering (from a nearby 'grove') and surprise visitiors..

.. all made for a super day!
