The hybrid

Once upon a time there was a hillside in Oxfordshire famed for its colony of rare Monkey orchids. Then, about twenty years ago, an equally rare Lady orchid appeared on the hillside. In 2006 the Lady and the Monkey cross-pollinated to produce the unique hybrid Lady-Monkey orchid, which is found nowhere else in the world. When I visited the site today I found no Monkey orchids, only one Lady orchid but hundreds of Lady-Monkeys.
