Family
When I opened the shed door this morning I disturbed an astonishing number of baby woodlice, who scuttled in all directions. Have never seen so many tinies all at once. It made me try to remember all the common names I've heard for them - slaters (Fife), grandfathers (Somerset), little pigs of St Antony (Italy).... found a list in their Wikipedia entry. They've been on the planet far longer than us lot, and will probably be here after we've self-destructed.
