Fringed Polygala
Kathy and I hiked up to the power line in the Kinder Forest. I was so excited to see the Polygala blossoming. Just that morning my mentor on INaturalist had found them on the other side of Vermont so I didn't think they would be bloooming on our side. Happy Dance. The old Vermonters called these GayWings.
Latin name - Polygaloides paucifolia
Extra is an Oven Bird. Thanks to Merlin, Kathy and I listened and recorded so many spring songs. Only got a few photos though and this was the best of the batch.
