Leisure Time

This is the Union Canal at Harrison Park in Edinburgh. A hive of activity with rowers, runners, cyclists and people sitting reading and drawing.

The wooden boathouse is the home of the Edinburgh Canal Society who have worked to get the Union Canal restored and reopened. A major achievement crowned by the joining of the Union Canal and the Forth and Clyde Canal by the Falkirk Wheel.

The Union Canal runs very close to my new flat so I am looking forward to walking and biking along the tow path and watching the wildlife that live along its banks.
