Heat clouds

We hit a record high of 88 degrees today and that was the temperature in my apartment as well, despite having the windows, blinds and drapes closed.  The air conditioner showed a temperature of 88 degrees in the bedroom; now it's cooled down to 75 in there.  Because I had a number of things I had to do at the computer, I wasn't able to escape to the cooler areas of the building.  I thought I was keeping reasonably cool under the fans but there's no escaping this heat and I'm feeling really uncomfortable.  Maybe a cool shower will help.  Right now I'd like to be in that plane in the photograph heading to somewhere really cool...
