Eighty-Six years ago today.

King George VI and Elizabeth ( The Queen Mother, aka, The Queen Consort) were crowned, 15/ 05/1937 as this vase indicates.
Now as some people will realise I am not a Royalist, but I ended up with this vase from my aunt after her demise.
So it's more a little bit of family memorabilia than Royalty tat.
It is good for sticking flowers in at certain times of year.
Having grown up in most of his reign, I do think he did a pretty good job under the circumstances.
