Guarding the cats

A cooler day with a busy morning, mostly cat and dog related, later some shopping in a huge supermarket about 15 minute drive from here and home for lunch. I think we are gradually settling in, a slow process this time. When housesitting the aim is to follow the owners directions and guidelines - unless the health and welfare of the animal is in doubt, not the case here I hasten to add. The house is a 17C converted barn, large with any number of places for cats to sleep and hide, not that they do when it comes to food time. There are seven litter trays, the cats have to come inside at night and as mentioned previously numerous cat beds also scratch posts and food dishes. They are well loved by their mum and dad.
