Kiwi growth

There's new growth on the kiwi fruit plants by the compost heap.

I was hoping to have moved the plants before spring was properly underway but my grand plans to create a new composting bay at the back of the pond (and transfer all the existing planting around the current heap) have stalled...

I've had a bad winter with months of sciatica pain. I'm looking for a new job with my contract finishing in 7 weeks. And I've just had Covid.

I think this is far from a high priority job. That means the kiwi (and compost) will stay here for another growing season but it's not all that bad as the autumn is a good time for landscaping work.
