Smudging

Flew to Mexico City on the first leg of my return trip to Canada; Lots of stuff happening in the Zocalo including quite of bit of smudging; I believe it is sage which is used.

Smudging is an indigenous cleansing practise in which an herb such as sweetgrass or sage is burned with the smoke wafting over the recipient.
