Strutting His Stuff

The rarely seen red-capped manakin is a tiny, plump little bird found if you are lucky in the rainforests here in Cost Rica. 

Tracking though the vegetation with a guide he found this bird's territory and we didn't have to wait long before he flew in to his favourite perch. What a privilege to see and well worth the hike in the heat.
