Old Father Time

Last year I was very disappointed that the old Balmoral Hotel clock on Princes Street was running on time. It has always traditionally run five minutes fast so that those running late for the train have a chance of catching it as they arrive bang on time. Brilliant. But then some bright spark decided that was outdated and it should tell the correct time. Boring. Now though it's fast again and this picture proves it if you can peer hard enough. The electronic clock says 6:45 but the hotel clock's big hand is clearly at the 10 position (6:50). Yay!
