I’m going to be a guide dog when I grow up

About 4 hours driving back from Penzance, pretty relaxed, no traffic jams. In the afternoon we went for a walk in Ashton Court park, and in the evening visited friends who live nearby in Long Ashton. She is what used to be called a ‘puppy walker’ but is now known as a ‘puppy raiser’. Finch, above, is her 16th.  He’s just about to have his first birthday, he’s very playful and very strong. In about a month he’ll be leaving, and going for his intensive training, to become a guide dog for a visually impaired person. I think he’s a really beautiful dog. It’s a good thing that she does, I think. She always has a pet dog too - you can see part of Amber above lying next to Finch - she wasn’t able to complete her training because of a skeletal problem, so was sold off as a pet. So she won’t be too sad when Finch leaves; she must be used to it by now.
