We made it home...!

A normal service on the trains was scheduled for today, so we boarded our train home at Kings Cross at 10am. It was actually delayed by 50 minutes owing to a broken down train ahead of it near Peterborough, so instead of taking just under 3 hours it took nearer 4 hours. However we were glad that we weren't going to Aberdeen as that takes 7 hours at the best of times! And as we were over 30 minutes late we should be able to claim some compensation.

We've had a lovely trip but it's always nice to get home too.
