Pieris - forest flame

A well named plant, and a joy to see on a wet day like today.

We have three or four in our garden, the most mature is about 3m high. Although many of the bracts are now fading from flaming red to muted pink there is still some new growth rewarding me with a flash of scarlet among the pink and green.
