Fun at the pub

Sunday pub lunch seems to us to be a very English pastime and one that we enjoy on our visits South . Today happens to be Mrs AMK’s birthday so we went to the local pub, still showing evidence of last weekend’s coronation celebrations ( 2nd extra), to celebrate and it has the added benefit of a bouncy castle that Poppy and Cameron enjoy. Poppy needless to say still in her new football strip. Granny proudly wore her “It’s my birthday” badge that looked more like a pony club rosette ! 

The other extra shows poor old Rodney at his water dish - this morning he jumped on the bed beside me and immediately had his nose in my water glass. I had been told he was drinking a lot and was quite shocked to see how much weight he has lost since we we last saw him. He was always a very large overweight cat and now I fear he is diabetic- I brought some urine dip sticks with me and we are just waiting for him to oblige with a sample to test, not so easy when he always performs in the garden, otherwise it will be a trip to the local vet for a quick blood test to confirm.
