Wembley

For Christmas we gave each of the three grandaughters a Promise - something we would take them to during this year, something linked to what they were interested in. Hence my effort to get tickets for a Prom concert for Alice. Ella’s event is at the planning stage, but Maisie’s happened today.

Grandad had said he would take Maisie, who plays Netball but likes all sports, to a sporting event. In consultation with her, and daughter Joanne who is also keen on sport, the event was to be the Women’s Football Cup Final at Wembley. He managed to get tickets and they went today.

Gordon got an early train this morning and met Maisie and Joanne in London, as they all got in on different trains. Here they are as they arrived at Wembley. It seems to have gone well, I may hear more about it later.
