Beautiful South Tirol

It hasn’t rained all day, just from time to time. 

I decided to set out for the bus to Dorf Tirol (Tirolo). I found the right bus, managed to click my ticket correctly, and was relieved to see the names of the stops appear.

Stunning views both on the way up and as I strolled around the village. Lots of walkers. And worshippers as it was Sunday morning.

I decided to get the next bus up towards the cable car. More magnificent views and chalets and fields that reminded me of the “Heidi” volume I had at Primary school.  I decided to save the cable car for a day less likely to have rain (an excuse as I want to return to this fabulous location.) but I did stop off for an espresso on the terrace as I did my reccy.

Two buses to the Merano Bahnhof as I know I’ll be using it one of the days. Quite complicated to find the right bus stops but it worked.

I walked back to the hotel to reinforce my knowledge of that part of town.

It rained. Then stopped..

The giro on tv (and it was raining.)

I’ve tried out the hotel pool. Wonderful and very quiet - just a pair on sunloungers having a sleep.

I could get used to this kind of life……
