let them eat cake

I was working this morning at the cafe, where Dumfries Christian Aid were holding their coffee morning. A good number of willing volunteers donned their pinnies and we trained them in hand washing and how to clear and clean tables The Usual Place Way. There was plenty of home baking and Fairtrade stalls and the coffee morning was well supported.

Once we had put the cafe back to its weekday state and mopped the floors, it was time to go home for lunch. Not on the bench in the sunshine because the farmers are busy spreading slurry on the field in front of our house :-( I’m going to have a wee rest now and then mow the grass. What a lovely day we’re having!
