Getting ready for the feast...

Today is the start of the Fiesta del Arroz Con Leche - the Festival of the Rice Pudding. This kiosk is one of those preparing the barbecue which kicks the whole event off.  The giant tent will be full of people, and their plates will be full of beef, pork ribs, chicken, and sausages. If you don´t like meat, there´s cider. After all the meat there will of course be locally-made rice pudding. 

The extras are from an exhibition of old photos of Asturian village life in, I´m guessing, from the ages of the vehicles that appear in some of the ones I haven´t shown, the 1960s. The exhibition is being shown as part of the Fiesta. 

The photos were taken by José Vélez, an Asturian photojournalist who was born in Oviedo about 1930 and died in 2012. That's all I know.
