Jagged

A good walk on another lovely morning. I walked down Xwaaqwum and decided to go up to the old quarry. I was shocked to see an expanse of tree roots, cut sections, branches that I assume were just dumped there! What an unsightly mess. I included a small section of it in the first extra. The part in the photo made me think of a bird, maybe a rooster crowing.
The magnolia blossoms have appeared on the tree down by the beach, but they're not doing well. It's been spectacular in the past but not this year. I added a 2nd extra of one of the blossoms about to open.
