"To weed or not to weed...."
" ...that is the question."
Well, having spent the day weeding with very little to show for it I would love to say I totally embrace the new environmental friendly advice advocated by some gardening experts. They recommend not cutting the grass in the month of May and allow weeds to flourish for the sake of the wildlife.
That may be a very worthy aspiration.
However, it would take a much braver soul than me to ignore the exuberant grass, dandelions and flourishing weeds when I know that within nine days over a 100 people, all keen gardeners, plus a television crew will be scrutinising the garden, all part of Scotland’s Open Gardens on May 21 in Bridge of Allan.
So tomorrow will be another day of weeding. M will return from his walking holiday in the Lakes but I doubt if he will be doing much weeding. He appears to have acquired a back injury.
What is your approach to weeding? have you given it up for the sake of the environment?
