Freshly baked scones ...

Had a most enjoyable day out to Dalgarven Mills and Dumfries House today with the Architecture & Design Club of Strathclyde University.

Dalgarven Mills houses the Museum of Ayrshire Country Life and Costume and has a wonderful collection of costumes, farming life and equipment and much more.  A fascinating talk by founder Robert Ferguson.  And we were treated to freshly baked scones! Yum.

Then on to Dumfries House which is the Robert Adam designed house with it's world famous Chippendale furniture collection saved by King Charles.   Scrumptious lunch, a tour and time to see the walled garden and Chinese bridge.

Collages attached of both.
