People often confuse our native Bluebells with the invasive garden escapees Spainish Bluebells.
I think this photograph clearly shows the difference.
Spainish Bluebells are upright with large strap-like leaves and open blue bells carried all around the upright stem.
Our native Bluebells are far more delicate and importantly the tube-like blue bells are carried on only one side of the stem which frequently  causes the stem to arch over as in this photograph.
